TICKET SALES DEPARTMENT: The Ticket Sales Department is designed to increase attendance and revenue through the sales of Knights ticket packages and group tickets. The focus of the department is to increase sales by cold calling new leads, creating referrals and cultivating relationships throughout the Charlotte community.

REQUIREMENTS:

MANDATORY – A successful candidate for an Inside Sales Representative position must be a self-motivated individual with a strong desire to start a career on the business side of the sports industry. This specific position is an entry-level sales opportunity that will be used to lay the framework and develop future Sales Account Executives, both on a personal and professional level. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn how to sell tickets and do what it takes to earn a full-time position within the organization.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Inside Sales Manager / Director of Ticket Sales

TIME FRAME:

Start Date: Fall/Winter 2017

Hours: Hourly with potential night and/or weekend hours required

Compensation: Hourly Rate + Commission

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate new business by marketing and selling season tickets, partial plans, group/hospitality outings through cold calls and client referrals.

  • Make a minimum of (80) outbound sales calls each day to new leads, past customers, and single game buyers with the goal of generating new ticket revenue.

  • Lead potential prospects effectively through the sales cycle in order to convert opportunities into sales or confirmed appointments for Ticket Sales Account Executives.

  • Represent the Knights at assigned sales, promotional, and networking events with the goal of developing new prospects and referral opportunities.

  • Absorb and utilize consistent sales training provided by the Knights leadership team.

  • Other team-related duties as directed by the Director of Tickets Sales & Operations, Vice President of Sales, General Manager and Chief Operating Officer.

Other: The Inside Sales Department is seasonal and the program will conclude in August. Successful Inside Sales Representatives will be the first candidates considered for full-time Sales Account Executive positions, as they become available.

Person will work as a member of the Bulls front office focused on ticket sales for the 2018 ACC Baseball Championship tournament in May 2018.  Individual will make sales calls and manage accounts; extensive phone work including incoming, outgoing, and follow-up calls; concentrating on group and package ticket sales.  This individual will prospect leads throughout the year and send mass mailings; includes follow up work; will facilitate group outings and packages; taking, inputting, and processing of all ticket orders; problem solving with regard to ticket related events. 

A willingness to actively promote all ACC Baseball Championship games to the general public is necessary.  Position requires a creative, positive, friendly, and helpful attitude and exceptional communication skills. What You Will Be Doing

Remember, everything starts and centers on tickets. The position will consist of selling ticket packages, including season tickets, mini plans, corporate suites and group tickets via phone calls and face to face meetings.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • College degree (required), preferably in Sport Management or related field
  • 1-2 years of sales experience with the business side of collegiate, minor league or professional sports is preferred. Experience in proactive B2B sales preferred.
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive, organized and detail oriented person who can prioritize and follow through with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated individual with focused energy, high degree of responsibility, and sense of urgency and accountability
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) proficiency
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM preferred
  • Experience with ticketing system (mainly Ticketmaster) is preferred but not required.
  • Able to work long hours, weekends, holidays, overtime and participate in tarp pulls when needed.
  • An understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and all levels within the company

Job Summary:

The Indianapolis Indians seek a candidate to generate new revenue by advance sales of season ticket packages, group tickets and premium seating inventory.

Responsibilities:

•       Generate new revenue through the sale of full, half and mini season ticket packages, group tickets, and annual and daily suite rentals, along with ancillary sales such as picnics, ballpark cash and group merchandise

•       Renew existing full and partial season ticket, group and daily suite rental accounts

•       Create strong relationships with your customer base by staying in consistent contact through phone calls, emails and in-game visits

•       Prospect for new sales by placing outbound cold calls, conducting in-person meetings, emailing and communicating through LinkedIn

•       Prospect for new sales by attending various professional networking functions throughout Central Indiana

•       Make 40-80 outbound sales and service calls daily

  • The ability to work in a team environment is a must as duties may stretch beyond work in the ticket sales department from time to time.
  • Must be able to call on and meet with numerous types of businesses and organizations.
  • This position requires you to work evenings, weekends and long hours.
