POSITION: Account Executive, Season Membership Sales

SEASON MEMBERSHIP SALES DEPARTMENT: The Season Membership Sales Department is designed to pre-sell tickets for all 70 Knights home games. It is our responsibility to increase attendance and revenue through the sales of membership packages such as multi-year club/field box season memberships and partial season membership plans. Our focus is providing excellent customer service as well as to increase new sales by cold calling new leads and past accounts.

REQUIREMENTS:

MANDATORY – A successful candidate for the Account Executive, Season Membership Sales position must be a self-motivated individual with a strong sales skill set and customer service background.  Candidates should have the ability to work in both a group and individual setting. “Team players” with a passion for the profession are the most highly valuable assets to the organization.

Previous Sales Experience Required.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Season Membership Sales

TIME FRAME:

                Start Date: September 2017

Hours: Off-Season: September-March generally 9:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. Some outside events and additional hours as needed. Game day responsibilities will begin in April 2018.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market and sell club and season membership for a premier Minor League Baseball club and BB&T Ballpark.

  • Includes daily phone calls and setting up face to face meetings with current and prospective clients.

  • Sales inventory includes but is not limited to Upper Club seats, Home Plate Club seats and Field Box season tickets.

  • Ensure that season membership holders are maximizing their investment and fully utilizing their tickets.

  • Attend business networking events in the Charlotte community.

  • Aggressive sales process with heavy focus on generating new accounts.

  • Opportunity to sell group ticket packages and sponsorship assets as capable.

  • Assist in other areas of the organization as needed.

COMPENSATION: TBD Annual Base Salary. Competitive bonus structure based on individual and team goals.

Baseball Ticketing Inside Salesperson - Durham Bulls Baseball Club (Durham, NC)

Person needed to work in the Durham Bulls front office as well as assist with various game day responsibilities throughout the ballpark.  Individual will make sales calls and manage accounts; extensive phone work including incoming, outgoing, and follow-up calls; concentrating on ticket sales.  This individual will prospect leads throughout the year and send mass mailings; includes follow up work; will facilitate season ticket packages and group outings; taking, inputting, and processing of orders; problem solving with regard to season and group orders and ticket related events. 

A willingness to actively promote Durham Bulls tickets to the general public is necessary.  Position requires a creative, positive, friendly, and helpful attitude and exceptional communication skills. Seeking person to generate new corporate revenue through season ticket, group tickets, and client retention via phone, in-person presentations, and networking events.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for the sports industry, and be a self-starter with a solid foundation in selling corporate ticket packages. This includes but is not limited to having the ability to initiate phone calls, successfully manage face-to-face appointments, correspond via email, and develop innovative programs that drive ticket sales.  Duties include:

Seeking person to be responsible for developing and managing the overall marketing, sales and operation of special events at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) and the Durham Athletic Park (DAP).    This individual will proactively solicit new business by making sales calls/presentations, attending trade shows, and engaging in other client prospecting, with the expectation of achieving monthly and yearly revenue targets as set forth by the General Manager.  Create and market new business opportunities to existing client base; research, analyze and develop special event profit generating opportunities.  Create leads and develop long term relationships in the event planning, production and promotion communities.  Provide superior customer service to clients before, during and after event; work across departmental lines to ensure all event and client needs are addressed.  Solicit feedback from clients following each special event to determine client satisfaction, organizational performance and event related risks and liabilities.  Prepare and provide required reports to the General Manager including special event revenue reports, profit and loss statements and departmental projections. 

The successful candidate should be resourceful, very detailed, innovative and forward thinking; have the ability to effectively manage, evaluate risks and liabilities of special events and stadium rentals.  Knowledge of financial analysis and planning, budgeting and marketing is required.  Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks.  Outstanding computer skills including MS Office products are necessary; must be able to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed. 3 to 5 years of related experience with a working knowledge of local and regional markets, venue operations and special event industries is required.  A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience and/or training, a valid driver’s license with clean driving record, and a pre-employment drug screening are required.

The Manager of Corporate Partnerships, serves as the primary relationship manager for each marketing partner within their book of business. In this role, there will be no responsibilities to manage a staff. In addition to managing their book of business, the Manager of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for continually developing new business by way of engagement in meaningful sales activities including prospecting, calling, appointment-setting, and networking within the community. Success will be measured by client retention and direct sales of sponsorship and advertising products such as stadium signage, in-game promotions, main night game sponsorships, media advertising (radio, television, web, and other social media platforms).

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for selling all sponsorship and advertising products

  • Responsible for meeting daily and weekly minimum sales activities including call attempts and appointments set and held

  • Responsible for servicing sales accounts by providing exceptional customer service and creating genuine moments of surprise and delight

  • Responsible for generating and developing new business through lead lists, name collection activities, cold calls, speaking engagements, networking within the local community, earning referrals, etc.

  • Responsible for the fulfillment of marketing agreements

  • Responsible for the renewals of established accounts

Chief Sales Officer

SUMMARY 

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Triple A affiliate of the New York Yankee’s are seeking a new Chief Sales Officer for their organization based in North Eastern Pennsylvania. The Chief Sales Officer will be responsible for leading and managing the revenue lines of the organization. These would include, but are not limited to, ticketing (non-premium and premium) and sponsorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Oversee the successful sale of all team and stadium inventory through sponsorship sales and service, suite sales, Radio/TV broadcasting rights, internet, media and merchandise/retail efforts.

·         Work closely with Team President and VP of Ticket Sales to plan, develop, organize, implement, lead and evaluate the organization’s long-term strategic direction for all revenue generating departments, which include Corporate Partnerships, Ticket Sales, Hospitality Sales and Retail.

·         Contribute and oversee the implementation for business plans for all above noted revenue generating departments in the organization and ensure team synergy from a strategic perspective.

·         Develop existing and new national and local account partnerships to further enhance corporate partnership alliances and strengthen relationships to maximize sales results and increase retention rates.

·         Provide day-to-day strategic leadership to direct reports and departments.

·         Assist in creating corporate culture that motivates staff to perform to their fullest and achieve corporate and personal goals.

·         Assist in overseeing department budgets to ensure targets are met and proper methods of accountability are established and achieved.

·         Analyze and identify ways to increase efficiency, improve levels of service and enhance profitability in all areas of responsibility.

·         Lead regular meetings with all direct reports and other staff to maintain clear communication, performance expectations and team synergy.

·         Provide direction, coaching and mentoring to enhance performance and development of staff.

·         Recruit, refer, select and development talented staff for areas of responsibility as well as other opportunities within the organization.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. MBA Preferred.

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience managing sales function, with multiple department responsibility. Sports experience strongly preferred.

·         Senior Management experience required.

·         Familiarity with a major sports and entertainment venue.

·         Passion for sports and entertainment business.

·         Proven successful sales experience with national client relationships and alliances.

·         Proven strategic leadership skills.

·         Proven experience in strategic business planning.

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and superior verbal and written communication skills.
