Job Summary:

Provide high level of support for Director of Business Operations, Office Manager and others in the operations/facilities department.

Essential Functions:

·         Prepare cash and credit card deposits; take deposits to bank

·         Count daily merchandise/concourse entertainment/parking receipts

·         Using accounting software to assist with various accounts payable/receivable tasks

·         Update financial spreadsheets to verify accuracy across platforms

·         File invoices and checks

·         Assist with financial comparisons

Job Summary:

Organize and implement an exciting and on-going mascot program to enhance the Indians relationship with the community and grow the mascot’s brand.

Essential Functions:

·         Develop the character of the Indianapolis Indians mascot “Rowdie the Bear”.

·         Perform a minimum of 30 home games at Victory Field.

·         Schedule the Rowdie performers for the games that you are not working.

·         Participate in pre-game and in-game promotions as part of the Indians Tribe Team, including contests, t-shirt toss, etc.

·         Research and identify opportunities to grow the identity and presence of Rowdie and the Indians brand.

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Process all Donation Requests and assist with Community Relations programs as needed.

·         Collaborate with Indians staff members to achieve effective marketing/communications for the organization

·         Work standard business hours in accordance with Indians policy.

·         Design scoreboard graphics

·         Assist as game director as needed

·         Operate video boards at Indians’ home games

·         Upload highlights after home games

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Assist head groundskeeper with field maintenance - pulling tarp, clearing fireworks, etc.

·         Serve as escort for mascot

·         Perform as mascot as needed

·         Attend outside events as needed

·         Pocket schedule distribution when scheduled by Marketing Manager

·         Answer phones when needed at the receptionist desk

·         Box Office shifts in season, as assigned, on a rotating schedule

·         Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a college/university or obtained a bachelor’s degree in video production related field.  Proficient in video editing and digital design (Adobe Premiere).  Prefer experience in Daktronics’ video board software. Prefer experience in live production settings.

Skills & Abilities:

Strong attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Etc)

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work up to 14 hours per day and up to 100 hours per week (in-season)

 

Dates:                 January/February, 2015 – September 15, 2015

Hours:                40+ hours per week in addition to all home games

The 2012 and 2013 International League West Division champions led all of Minor League Baseball in attendance in 2013.
