Job Summary:

Provide high level of support for Director of Merchandising and Merchandise Manager.  Assist in the management of all retail operations.

Essential Functions:

·         Co-manage two stores and one walk-up stand

·         Help manage and train game day staff

·         Assist with the ordering of new merchandise

·         Process internet orders and maintain online store

·         Receive and inspect new merchandise

·         Assist in preparation of all points of sale as needed

·         Perform inventory audits

·         Warehouse/organize storage rooms

·         Help execute retail promotions

 

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Assist head groundskeeper with field maintenance - pulling tarp, clearing fireworks, etc.

·         Pocket Schedule distribution when scheduled by Marketing Coordinator

·         Answer phones when needed at the receptionist desk

·         Box Office shifts in season, as assigned, on a rotating schedule

·         Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a college/university or obtained a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Previous experience in a sports environment and/or retail experience strongly preferred

Skills & Abilities:

Excellent customer service skills and abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-pace and stressful environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work up to 14 hours per day and up to 80 hours per week (in-season)

Premium Services & Events Assistant Internship - Indianapolis Indians (Indianapolis, IN)

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating Victory Field hospitality and special events, providing support in the areas of event management, suite holders services, premium services, ticket programs, and game day box office management.

 

Essential Functions:

·         Assist in generating new premium business and stadium rentals by setting up meetings, negotiating pricing and packaging, administering contracts, coordinating facility schedules, organizing equipment and supply usage, and being the lead on account and client services

·         Provide box office supervision on game days; assisting ticket managers with point-of-sale oversight, money counting, reporting, general trouble-shooting, and customer solutions.

·         Assist Sr. Ticket & Premium Services Manager with premium inventory management and providing quality control in record keeping, reporting, material handling, staffing and communication.

·         Act as Event Manager on Duty for special events while directing all necessary event personnel

·         Provide coordination and staff support of Indians-hosted special events

·         Assist in suite holder services – correspondence and communication with both principle and administrative suite holder contacts; coordinating ticket orders, surveys and customer feedback, suite decorations and repairs, appreciation gifts and VIP events

·         Extend exceptional customer service to all Indians customers and employees

Other Duties/Responsibilities:

·         Assist the Operations Department with coverage of the Guest Relations desk

·         Assist Head Groundskeeper with tarp pulling and fireworks pick-up

·         Assist Marketing Department with periodic pocket schedule deliveries around town

·         Assist Community Relations Department as a stadium tour guide for visiting youth groups

·         Other duties as assigned

                        

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or currently enrolled in a college/university
