Job Summary:

Assist creative services team in creating, editing, and facilitating creative projects as well as updating and maintaining IndyIndians.com in conjunction with Indians marketing plan. 

Essential Functions:

  • Work with Graphic & Web Designer, Creative Services Manager, and Marketing Manager to optimize consistency of interactive communications adhering to brand standards and protocols

  • Assist in development and design of brochures, flyers, and banners

  • Aid in creation of digital, in-game, online, and print advertising

  • Create, update, and maintain IndyIndians.com web pages

  • Facilitate photo and video capture

  • Identify new opportunities to expand current online presence, including through social tools

  • Manage fan photography program, organize photos, photography as requested

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Tarp pull

  • Data entry as requested

  • Pocket Schedule distribution throughout season and as assigned

  • Answer phones when needed at the receptionist desk

  • Represent the Indians at various community outreach events

  • Daily ticket sales when single game tickets go on sale – rotating schedule with other interns

  • Other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Currently enrolled in a college/university or obtained at Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

    Graphic design, computer science, art, communications or related majors preferred. Portfolio required.

    Skills & Abilities:

    Strong attention to detail

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability and desire to learn new skills and programs

    Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator & InDesign required

    Working knowledge of HTML, CSS & CMS required; JavaScript and/or SQL knowledge a plus

    Photo/Video skills preferred; basic understanding of Adobe Lightroom, Premiere and/or After Effects a plus

    Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, stressful environment

    Ability to work up to 14 hours per day and up to 100 hours per week (in-season)

     

    Dates:                 January, 2016 – September 15, 2016

    Hours:                40+ hours per week in addition to all home games

    Compensation:  $800/month plus housing $900/month without housing

Merchandise Game Day Internship - Indianapolis Indians (Indianapolis, IN)

Indianapolis Indians Merchandise Department –

2016 Game Day Internship

 

The Indianapolis Indians Merchandise Department is searching for two hard-working and reliable individuals to serve as Game Day Merchandise Interns for the 2016 season.  Candidates are typically college students or recent graduates who will be living in central Indiana from April through August (Indians housing is NOT available for this position).

The ideal candidate should be energetic, customer friendly, organized, and likes to work on their feet.  Experience in customer service and/or retail is preferred but not required.

Game Day Duties:

  • Vend programs and other merchandise as needed
  • Help to organize and keep stores and merchandise storage rooms clean
  • Assist program seller and any other merchandise vendors
  • Assist customers and other game day staff as needed
  • Run cash register when needed
  • Assist with the re-stock of the store and preparing inventory for sale

Time Frame:

  • Resumes will be accepted through April 3rd, 2016
  • Interviews will be conducted mid-February to early March, as necessary

 

Dates & Hours:

  • Preferred candidates would be available for all regular-season home games between April 2 and Sept 3rd.
  • School & work scheduling conflicts must be brought to the managers attention at least one week prior to the assigned game
  • Report time will typically be 3 hours before first pitch for most home games.  Interns will generally stay 1 hour after the end of each game. (Generally 6-7 hours total)

Compensation:

  • $35 per game

Ticket Department Game Day Internship - Indianapolis Indians (Indianapolis, IN)

Job Summary:

Provide high level service and assistance to all ticketing operations generally revolving around premium hospitality areas and ticket programs.   

 

Essential Functions:

·         Set-up and preparations of hospitality areas including the suite level, Corona Light Beach, and Elements Financial Picnic Area with appropriate signage, materials or equipment

·         Supervise nightly corporate picnics – monitoring guests, facilities and services for both pre-game and in-game parties

·         Help stock and prepare the Box Office ticket windows and work stations

·         Collect and organize clubhouse pass lists

·         Tabulate picnic attendance, exchange coupons and other ticket materials

·         Be capable of selling tickets and operating Will Call ticket windows

·         Answer phones and be able to assist or re-direct callers

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or currently enrolled in a college/university

Previous experience in customer service or a sports environment preferred

 

Skills & Abilities:

Character traits include honesty and integrity and an eagerness to learn

Customer friendly and service oriented

Strong attention to detail

Excellent verbal communication skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs

Ability to work on their feet

Dates:                 April 2 – September 13, 2016

Hours:                6-7 hours per game for all Indians home games

Compensation:  $35/game
